Turns out, family and friends just are. Just like that.
Not there, where I was looking for them in the past twenty seven years, but here.
Next to me. Always.
They stood, behind me, looking with horror
When I was casting the ropeon a bluffy, full of falling rocks mountainside.
Mulishly try to climb it. Barefoot. Barehands. Till they bleed.
Deaf and blind to everything.

Now, that I drop behind
When abseiled on an avalanche of sharp rocks
My very own, personal Volunteer Mountain Rescue Service
Doesnt allow me to loose my warmth
Nesteld in air tight heat foil- I drink tea with electricity
And they kindle around me, dozens of small bon fires.

I throw into fire everything, that is not needed
looking silently how it shrinks, wads, crumbles, fragments, and disappears
Everything, that hurts, and I am afraid of, that poisons and spoils
Sitting amidst those, dashing starfish, like on a raft, on sea,
Sway lightly and gently, in a moment sail more
I never expected they were so close, and feel so....warm.
